As the Dallas Morning News reported here, Trigger’s Toys recently collaborated with the D.C.-based Power of 10 Initiative in their mission to save local, independent restaurants. This initiative provided $40,000 to the collaboration that Trigger’s Toys helped assemble in Dallas, TX.

Trigger’s Toys partnered with Chef Peja Krstic from Mot Hai Ba to use Power of 10’s donation of $10,000/week for 4 weeks to prepare 1,000 meals for local organizations such as Bryan’s House and Hunger Busters. The funds were used to re-hire staff who otherwise would have been unable to work; these staff prepared meals for food-insecure families who would have otherwise struggled to eat due to the impact of the pandemic.

To date, the initiative has donated 54,000 meals to communities in eight cities, including Dallas.
